Eventually, I will have more to say, but for now, I am just saying hi. Thanks for visiting my page. If you are reading this, you are one of the first people to view my page. Thank you. I hope you will stick around for the rest of the journey.
This is a photo of me in full regalia. I was shadowing Dr. Anthony Lee, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician. I was gearing up to watch a radiofrequency ablation of the nerves in the C-spine. I thought this picture was a fun way to say hello!
It was the first time I was in scrubs and PPE, and I was very excited. Since this photo was taken, I started a job at a TMS clinic and wear scrubs 5 days a week. I have learned to take blood pressure, understand the ins-and-outs of medical insurance, and have helped administer Spravato, a esketamine nasal spray.
It has been over a year since this photo was taken. I have shadowed several different physicians (a vascular surgeon, an anesthesiologist, and a psychiatrist). I have finished all my pre-requisite course work. I have taken the MCAT. And now, I am starting medical school and studying to be a doctor. Finally.
There is a lot of excitement (and stress) to come. But as everyone as told me, it will be a journey worth taking.
